In the internal combustion engine development division, you will work on the failure analysis of a high-performance drivetrain within mechanical development. Your task will be to analyze damage cases in the context of the respective engine system, identify connections, and prepare optimization measures to develop the maximum performance and efficiency of the engine while at the same time ensuring the required reliability. You will also be involved in creating an engine model for predicting the service life.
You will perform development measures in the concept and design phases as well as in the commissioning and testing phases. You will plan this work alongside Design and Simulation on a wide variety of engine, component, and powertrain test benches. You will independently conduct and analyze the experiments and then develop appropriate proposals for further development. With your efforts, you will support the overall development of the drive unit to achieve the required level of maturity in line with the schedule.
