Audi wird ab 2026 in der FIA Formel 1 Weltmeisterschaft antreten.

Das neue Team hat drei Standorte. Das Audi Kompetenz-Center Motorsport in Neuburg (Deutschland) gilt als eines der modernsten seiner Art in Europa. Die Sauber Group's Formula 1 Factory in Hinwil (Schweiz) ist bekannt für ihre innovativen Technologien und ihre Leidenschaft für den Rennsport. Das Sauber Motorsport Technology Center im Vereinigten Königreich wird in diesem Jahr in Betrieb genommen. Unsere Power Unit kommt aus Neuburg, während Hinwil für die Entwicklung des Chassis und den Rennbetrieb verantwortlich ist.

Diese Position für das Audi F1 Project ist bei der Audi Formula Racing GmbH am Standort Neuburg (Deutschland) zu besetzen.

Im Bereich der E-Maschinenentwicklung (MGU-K) arbeitest Du an der Schlüsselkomponente elektrischer High-Performance-Antriebe und trägst Deinen Teil zur Wettbewerbsfähigkeit im hochkompetitiven F1-Umfeld bei.
Durch die Erprobung auf Komponenten- und Systemebene sorgst Du für die Validierung und die kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung unserer E-Antriebskomponenten im Audi F1 Project. Außerdem wirst Du Test- und Renneinsätze im Mission Control betreuen.

Deine Aufgaben

Erprobung von E-Maschinen (MGU-Ks) vom frühen Prototyp bis zum fertigen Rennsystem
Planung und Durchführung von Erprobungsumfängen mit Fokus E-Maschine (MGU-K) auf Komponentenebene, auf HV-Systemebene (ERS) und im Antriebsverbund mit Verbrennungsmotor (Power Unit)
Betreuung der E-Antriebskomponenten auf HV-Systemebene (ERS) bei Test- und Renneinsätzen im Mission Control
Auswertung von Erprobungsumfängen inkl. Dokumentation und Präsentation der Ergebnisse
Einbringen von Versuchsergebnissen in die Auslegungs-, Entwicklungs- und Qualitätsprozesse zur Optimierung und Weiterentwicklung der E-Maschine
Applikation von elektrischen Antrieben in Zusammenarbeit mit der Software-Entwicklung

Dein Profil

Technisches Studium der Fachrichtung Maschinenbau, Elektrotechnik, Mechatronik oder eines vergleichbaren Studiengangs
Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung im High-Level-Motorsport im Bereich der elektrischen Antriebskomponenten
Flexibilität, Leidenschaft und eine hohe Bereitschaft für Einsätze im Mission Control (insbesondere an Wochenenden mit erhöhtem Arbeitsvolumen)
Erfahrung im Umgang mit Prüfständen für Antriebskomponenten
Gute Kenntnisse im Umgang mit Tools zur Datenanalyse (z. B. ATLAS)
Grundkenntnisse im Umgang mit Tools zur Applikation (z. B. System Monitor)
Erfahrung im Umgang mit Hochvolt, idealerweise Ausbildung zur elektrischen Fachkraft (EFK)
Umsetzungsstärke sowie ein hohes Maß an Motivation und Eigeninitiative
Zielorientierte, selbständige und strukturierte Arbeitsweise
Ausgeprägte Teamfähigkeit
Entscheidungs- und Konfliktfähigkeit
Verhandlungssichere Deutsch- oder Englischkenntnisse sowie die Bereitschaft Grundkenntnisse in der jeweils anderen Sprache zu erlernen sind Voraussetzung

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.

The new team has three locations. The Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Sauber Motorsport Technical Center, UK will be operational this year. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is to be filled at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).

In the field of electric motor development (MGU-K), you will work on the key component of high-performance electric drivetrains and contribute to competitiveness in the highly demanding F1 environment. Through testing at component and system level, you will ensure the validation and continuous development of our electric drivetrain components in the Audi F1 Project. You will also supervise test and race operations in Mission Control.

Your Mission

Testing of electric motors (MGU-Ks) from early prototypes to the finished racing system
Planning and implementation of test scopes with a focus on electric motors (MGU-K) at component level, at HV system level (ERS) and in the drivetrain system together with the combustion engine (power unit)
Support of the electric drivetrain components at HV system level (ERS) during test and race operations in Mission Control
Evaluation of test scopes incl. documentation and presentation of results
Incorporating test results into the design, development and quality processes to optimize and further develop the electric motors
Application of electric drivetrains in cooperation with software development

Your Profile

Technical degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable course of study
Several years of professional experience in high-level motorsport in the field of electric drivetrain components
Flexibility, passion and a high willingness to work in Mission Control (especially on weekends with increased workload)
Experience in working with test benches for drivetrain components
Good knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g. ATLAS)
Basic knowledge of application tools (e.g. System Monitor)
Experience in dealing with high-voltage, ideally training as an electrical specialist (EFK)
Strong implementation skills, as well as a high degree of motivation and initiative
Goal-oriented, independent and structured way of working
Strong ability to work in a team
Ability to make decisions and deal with conflict
Full professional proficiency in German or English and a willingness to learn a basic level in the corresponding other language are prerequisites
